This week was created to empower women to focus on their health. From May 11-17, take time to:
- Get physical! Take a walk, ride a bike — go dancing! Just get your body moving.
- Eat right! Choose fresh fruits & vegetables, whole grains.
- Get your annual exam! Planned Parenthood offers quality care — annual check-ups, STI screening and more at an affordable cost.
- Protect your health! Quit smoking, use condoms to protect yourself against STIs and unintended pregnancy.

Recent studies show that nursing care and quality patient care are synonymous.
National Nurses Week was created in 1974. It coincides with Florence Nightingale's birthday on May 12. Nightingale is considered the founder of modern nursing.
There are 2.4 Million registered nursed in the U.S. And, 92% are women!
Nurses are essential to good health care, so remember to thank a nurse May 6-12! |
